Premier Two Title race hots up !

The race for the promotion places in Bedworth Domestic Appliances Premier Two is warming up nicely with three sides separated by a single point. Hill Top, unbeaten in the league this season, moved into third spot after they beat Nuneaton Prince 8-3. Adam Richardson bagged four of those goals with Ashley Wilkes, Charles Andoh, Danny Armiger and Jimmy Elliot adding the singles. Paul Gaunt 2 and Shane Duffy replied for Prince. Hill Top are just a point behind the leading two side who both lost. Leaders Bedworth Liberals were undone by Bedworth Travellers, going down 3-2, while second placed Bull & Anchor lost 4-1 to Black Horse Sports.   

Ford Sports take over at the top of Mission Fashion Premier One thanks to their 2-1 win over Chase FC. Jamie Steele gave Ford the lead but Christian Hollowood first missed a penalty for Chase but made amends later by grabbing an equaliser. Carlo Rosetti wrapped up the points for Ford with a 35 yard effort tem minutes from time.  Tom Brown scored twice for Collycroft Goose as they went on to beat Haunchwood Sports 4-3. Matthew Wood and Lee Buggea also found the net for Goose, Michael Piggon 2 and Willie Olner, replied for Haunchwood. 

FC Wagon stay a point clear at the top of Alphie Cain Division one as they beat Windmill 4-3 helped by a brace from Zak Fotheringham. Stockingford Sports stay second after Pete Benn and James Blyth gave them a 2-0 win over Hartshill Sports Res. Attleboro Fox moved up to sixth spot thanks to their 3-1 win over Lancet.   

In Nuneaton Print division two Royal Oak Bedworth missed the chance to go top losing their second league game in succession as they lost 5-1 to Griff & Coton Manor. The Crew collected their first win of the season after they beat Ford Sports Res 3-1. Ian Ensor gave Ford a 1-0 first half lead but Crew hit back after the break with centre midfield Lloyd Walton grabbing a hat trick.  

Nuneaton Prince Res moved into second place in Nuneaton Trophies division three after they beat F C Gallery 3-2. Parminda Singh scored twice for Prince, Patrick Ginnelli scored the other. Hayrick slip to third after they twice came from behind to draw 2-2 with Collycroft Cricketers Res. Ryan Warden gave Cricketers the lead but Jon Arshad equalised for Hayrick before Craig Wilkins restored the Cricketers lead with an 18 yard free kick. Eric Allen secured Hayrick’s point with their second equaliser. Chapel End Social are up to fifth after they beat Bedworth Liberals Res 2-1, while Attleboro Sports beat Ambleside Res by the same score. Danny Saul gave Sports the lead only for Dave Ballard to equalise fro Ambleside. Mark Brough came off the bench for Sports to grab a late winner.  

Nuneaton Punch Bowl Res picked up their first league win in Heartland Evening News division four in spectacular style as they beat Attleboro Mills Res 10-0. Andy Hamilton, Paul Smith and Jordan Walker all scored two apiece. Bedworth Miners Arms moved into third spot thanks to their 6-2 win over Chapel End Salutation Res. Glen Matty bagged a hat trick for Miners, Scott Dewis 2 and Luke Dewis added the others, Ben Franks and Lee McEwan replied for Chapel End. Stockingford Sports Res shared the points in their game with Anker Inn as they drew 2-2.  

Chetwynd maintained their 100% record in Mortgage Advice Agency division five thanks to a 7-1 win over Bedworth Coalfields. Michael Hall scored twice for Chetwynd with an own goal and further scored from Martin Earle, Ian Neale, Adam Dewis and Steve Cole completing the scoring. Attleboro Snooker are up to third after they beat Arley 6-2. Jamie Callow led the way with three of the snooker goals, Andy Azzopardi, Andy Garland and a Gary Garside penalty made up the rest. Dave Morris and Wayne Morris replied for Arley. Scott Glen was another player to bag a hat trick with his goals helping Mills Athletic to a 6-0 win over Forest Woodlands. Andy Stevenson 2 and Andy Bibby provided the others. Scott Whale, Lee Farmer, Callum Tweed, Sean Pratt and Rob Ratcliffe were all on target for Stockingford White Lion Res as they beat Crystal Sunday 5-2. Lance Boland and Danny Parkinson replied for Crystal. Hayrick Res and Bedworth Conservatives shared the spoils as they drew 0-0.  

In the BCFA Vase, Ford Oak went down 3-2 to Folly Lane ruing missed chances. Dave Merry gave Ford Oak the lead but Folly Lane hit back before Steve Garlick’s free kick restored the Ford Oak lead. Two further Folly Lane goals gave them the advantage which they held on to.  

In the two round two Tribune Cup matches, Premier One Side Hartshill Sports overcame Wentworth Wanderers to move into round three. Liam Brown and Darren Eggleton both scored twice for Hartshill, Matthew Hatcher adding a single as they won 5-1. Darren Burridge scored the Wentworth goal. Carl Hutchings scored twice for Sporting White Lion ion their 3-0 win over Nuneaton Jailhouse Sports. Danny Moreton scored the other Sporting goal as they now face Hartshill in the next round.  

Danny Jordan and Darren Stevens both scored twice for Crystal Sunday as they triumphed 5-1 against The Clock in the second round of the Observer Shield. Sean Clamp scored the other Crystal goal, Mark Healey replied for The Clock. Wayne Johnson headed Nuneaton Punch Bowl in front in their game with Ambleside but Matt Hall restored parity for Ambleside with a header of his own. Ian Chaddaway won the game for Ambleside with a spectacular 4- yard half volley that found its way in off the underside of the crossbar.  Ambleside’s keeper Callum Morris, making his debut, pulled off three fine saves to keep his team in the hunt. Bedworth Old Black Bank booked their round three spot with a 5-2 win over Jailhouse.  

In the Pete Smith Memorial Reserve Cup game of the day was at Attleboro Arms Res where they were defeated 3-1 on penalties by Ford Oak Res, after both sides had shared ten goals in 2 hours of football. In a see saw game, Gavin Orton gave Ford the lead which Matthew Watson doubled minutes later. Barry Heale then pulled a goal back from the penalty spot for Arms but Craig Kemp restored Ford’s two goal advantage to make it 3-1 at the break. Craig Everitt then scored twice for Arms Res to level the scores at 3-3 and take game into extra time. More goals were to follow; Darren Dann came off the bench for Arms Res to make it 4-3, who then hit the bar twice before Matthew Watson bagged his second for 4-4. Andy Taylor made it 5-4 to Arms Res but, just on the final whistle Craig Kemp scored his second to force a shoot out. Ford Oak’s keeper Chris Shaw kept his nerve saving twice to help Ford to a 3-1 win, by which time the light was beginning to fade. Richard Easton scored twice for Trent Res as they went on to beat Hill Top Res 4-1. Anthony Allen and Jolon Docherty scored the other Trent goals, Warren Penson replied for Hill Top. Steve Thomas, Dave Taberer, Perry Edwards and Ryan Smitham all found the net for Haunchwood Sports Res as they beat Weddington Thistle Res 4-2. James Gascoigne and Danny Wright scored the Thistle goals.
